Affiliate marketing is very popular today and everyone is out there trying to cash a profit. That's a wonderful thing that everyone has opened their eyes to this opportunity, but if you're putting all your effort into something without knowing why you're doing it, you're spelling failure.
You absolutely must have a good understanding of your product, and I'm not talking about only what it does!
These things spell profit.
1. Conversion. Conversion is how often your sales page converts sales for every visitor it gets. If your sales page has low conversion, you will not be making much money! Conversion reveals, plain and simple, whether the sales page of your product is doing its job. Statistics on conversion exist on most products!
2. Gravity. Gravity measures how many people are selling your product, it's like a measurement of saturation. If everyone and their mom is selling a product, gravity will be sky high. Don't get mixed up in a high gravity, you'll never be heard in a crowded room!
3. Conversion and Gravity combination. You need to get good conversion and low to moderate gravity in order to achieve success with your product. If you don't have this dynamic combination, you might be left swirling around in newbie land for a long time!

4. The affiliate product comes with enough tools. I can't stress this enough, but the affiliate product you're promoting needs to have tools to help in the promotion. You need to have banners, solo ads, classified ads, articles to add to your autoresponder, the whole 9 nine yards. The more that the product comes with, the more it'll be easier for you to promote it!
Take these 4 things into consideration and you're on your way to creating the recipe for affiliate success.
