1. Become an "authority" on your product.
Imagine a door-to-door vacuum salesman that tries to sell you the latest model of floor cleaner, but doesn't know how to use it or can't answer your questions about it.
When an expert speaks, people listen. So, learn your product inside and out.
What is the best way to become an authority on your product? The best way to learn about something is to use it. Purchasing the product yourself will allow you to gain first-hand experience of the product. While it isn't necessary to purchase the product, it will help you become familiar and knowledgeable about what it is you are promoting. Thus, you gain credibility and trust among your audience
2. Create your own website or product page.
Many affiliate marketers think it's just enough to promote and advertise their affiliate link. Successful affiliates don't just promote their link. Instead, they build a storefront or a website to promote the product and their link.
3. Participate in forums related to your product.
You can start your forum board or join an existing one. Be careful when promoting on forum boards, however, you do not want to violate a forums terms of service, another reason why you want to create your own personal website for your product.
Do not try to selling initially, but during your forum discussions, you might want to mention the product you're promoting and describe its benefits. If there is interest in your product, you can then refer them to the product through your website. You might even want to place your link in your forum signature for others to click through.
4. Write about your product.
Create an article about your product and then submit it to article. Keep in mind that many readers are interested in "information" that can help them. If you use your article solely for selling, you will never gain credibility.
Additionally, you can create a free ebook for others to read. As part of your ebook, include an advertisement and a link to your affiliate website. Submit your ebook to the ebook directories and offer it to other webmasters for inclusion on their website. The more exposure your ebook receives, the more sales you can make.
